DHAKA: India are struggling as they have lost four wickets to score 110 runs in the 22nd over in their second ODI against Bangladesh of the three-match series on Sunday afternoon.
India scored 142 for four after the end of 30th over at Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in city’s Mirpur till the filling of this report.
Rohit Sharma opened batting with Shikhar Dhawan while Mustafizur Rahman bowled the first over of the innings.
Mustafizur had Rohit for a duck caught by Sabbir Rahman in the slow-paced second ball of the innings’ first over.
Since then, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan apparently built a solid ground for India, making 74-run stand in the second wicket before Nasir Hossain trapped Virat Kohli lbw in the third of the innings’ 12th over.
Shikhar scored 53 before Nasir Hossain had Shikhar Dhawan caught behind by Litton Das in the filth ball of 20th over.
In the next over Pacer Rubel Hossain brought cheer for the Tigers’ fans. Rubel Hossain removed Ambati Rayudu for a duck in the fourth ball of 21st over.
MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina are batting now with 30 off 46 balls and 17 off 31 balls respectively.
Earlier, India captain MS Dhoni won the toss and decided to bat first. The day night match kicked off at 3:00pm (local time).
India have dropped Ajinkya Rahane, Umesh Yadav and Mohit Sharma. Ambati Rayudu, Axar Patel and Dhawal Kulkarni joined the team. Bangladesh remain unchanged.
Earlier on Thursday, Bangladesh pulls off a shock 79-run over two-time world champion India in the first match, trailing the visitors 0-1 in the series.
