DHAKA: Bangladesh are chasing India-set 318-run target in the last match of three match series at Sher-e-bangla Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Chasing the target, Bangladesh scored 21 for one after the end of the fourth over till the filling of this report.
Tamim Iqbal opened the Tigers’ innings with Soumya Sarkar at the other end while Stuart Binny bowled the first over of the innings.
Dhawal Kulkarni had Tamim Iqbal trapped by lbw in the last ball of the innings’ second over.
Litton Das and Soumya Sarkar were batting now with 1 and 12 runs respectively.
Earlier, a pair of fifties by Shikhar Dhawan and MS Dhoni helped India, after sending to bat, to anchor at 317 runs for six losses in 50.0 overs.
Shikhar Dhawan was the highest scorer with adding 75 off 73 balls to the tally, followed by MS Dhoni’s 69 off 77 balls. Amvati Rayudu and Suresh Raina contributed 44 and 38 runs respectively.
Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza led the attack on the visitors, picking up three wickets. The boy wonder Mustafizur Rahman took two wickets while all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan Shakib Al Hasan bagged one.
Bangladesh has already sealed the series, defeating the second ODI rank holder in previous two games of the series. The Tigers beat India by 79 runs in the first match on June 18 and six wickets in the second match June 21.
