DHAKA: Visiting South Africans’ beat the BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board) XI in the only tour match of 20-over by eight wickets at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium of Fatullah in Narayanganj on Friday.
The South Africans chased down BCB XI set 100-run target with 48-ball to spare.
Q de Kock, AB de Villiers, JP Duminy and David Miller scored 35, 25, 17 and 20-run respectively. Two openers -- de Kock and de Villers -- were retired to give other batsmen to have chances of practice.
No BCB XI bowler managed to take any South Africans’ wicket.
Earlier, the BCB XI captain Imrul Kayes won the toss and elected to bat first. The home side scored 99 for all after the 18th over in the 20-over match with Imrul Kayes’s 29 runs off 24 balls.
D Wiese finished with three wickets while KJ Abbott and AM Phangiso bagged two wickets each.
