Stocks end lower Monday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked minor fall in its price indices on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 11.21 points only to stand at 4663.62 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 132242 with volume of transactions at Tk 5271.45 million.

Of the issues traded, 107 advanced, 173 declined and 43 remained unchanged.

UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 255.76 million having changed hands.



The other turnover leaders were CITYBANK, EMERALDOIL, ALARABANK, BEXIMCO, BXPHARMA, AFTABAUTO, IPDC, IFADAUTOS and ORIONINFU.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8663.42 by dropping over 17.07 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 78 gained, 132 declined and 33 remained unchanged.
