DSE, CSE down at opening

DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed negative trend in early hours of trading on Monday.
   
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, shed over 5.82 points or 0.12 per cent to 4620.31 after the first one and half hour of trade at 11:52am.

Trade deals stood at 47285 with volume of transactions at Tk 1824.26 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 122 advanced, 109 declined and 64 remained unchanged.

SAIFPOWER was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 106.70 million changing hands till then followed by ALLTEX, GHAIL, IFADAUTOS and ITC.

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index dropping 8.13 points to 8645.36, also at 11:54am.

Of the issues traded till then, 83 gained, 90 declined and 23 remained unchanged.
