Stocks end lower Wednesday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall again in its price indices on Wednesday (January 27), the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 24.13 points only to stand at 4585.98 at the close of day’s trading. 

Trade deals stood at 93438 with volume of transactions at Tk 3585.79 million.

Of the issues traded, 90 advanced, 185 declined and 43 remained unchanged.

ALARABANK topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 225.75 million having changed hands.



The other turnover leaders were ALLTEX, OLYMPIC, ITC, EMERALDOIL, SQURPHARMA, IFADAUTOS, BDTHAI, CVOPRL and DACCADYE.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8579.04 by dropping over 42.31 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 70 gained, 145 declined and 32 remained unchanged.
