DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses --Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- on Sunday.
DSEX, the key index of DSE, rose over 9.37 points to stand at 4580.49 at the close on the first trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 94053 with transaction at Tk 3183.8 million. Of the issues traded, 137 advanced, 132 declined and 48 remained unchanged.
BXPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 250.19 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were ACI, SQURPHARMA, BEXIMCO, BSCCL, EMERALDOIL, CITYBANK, MAKSONSPIN, BEACONPHAR and RAKCERAMIC.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8559.32 by gaining over 9.49 points.
Out of the issues traded, 84 gained, 128 declined and 31 remained unchanged.
