DHAKA: The two bourses of the country, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), witnessed mixed trading on Tuesday (February 16), the third day of the trading week.
The share price indices in both bourses, though, saw rise, over 8.60 points on DSE and over 17.22 points on CSE, in early hours of trading.
However, DSEX, the prime index of DSE, shed over 6.18 points or 0.13 percent to 4578.85 at the end of day’s transaction.
Trade deals stood at 111108 with volume of transactions at Tk 4608.11 million.
Of the issues traded in the day, 154 advanced, 115 declined and 54 remained unchanged.
BSRMLTD was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk357.11 million changing hands. The other leaders of the market were UPGDCL, AMANFEED, BXPHARMA, AFCAGRO, SQUAREPHARMA, PREMIERCEM, IFADAUTOS, SAPORTL and ACTIVEFINE.
The port city bourse, Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE), witnessed upward trend with its Selective Category Index (CSCX) gaining over 9.56 points to 8597.61 at the end of day’s trading.
Of the issues traded here, 141 gained, 78 declined and 38 remained unchanged.
