DSE, CSE up at opening

DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses gained in early hours of trading on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.
   
DSEX, the broad index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), rose over 8.98 points or 0.19 per cent to 4587.83 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:40am.

Trade deals stood at 34462 with volume of transactions at Tk 1393.62 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 145 advanced, 89 declined and 48 remained unchanged.

BSRMLTD was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 103.93 million changing hands till then followed by SHASHADNIM, AMANFEED, EMERALDOIL and UPGDCL.

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed upward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index gaining 24.95 points to 8612.30, also at 11:38am.

Of the issues traded till then, 83 gained, 45 declined and 23 remained unchanged.
