DSE, CSE up at opening

DHAKA: The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in the early hour of trading on Tuesday, the third trading session of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 14.85 points or 0.32 percent to 4,592.47, after first hour of the trade at 11:10am.

Turnover stood at Tk 1,071.94-million on the premier bourse when the report was filed.

Of the issues traded till then, 141 advanced, 65 declined and 41 remained unchanged.

LANKABAFIN was the most traded stocks till then with shares Tk 201.22-million changing hands followed by BSRM Limited, Lafarge Surma Cement, IFAD Autos and Titas Gas.

The port city bourse CSE also saw positive trend with its Selective Category Index (CSCX) advancing 22.28 points to 8,621.36 points at 11:24am.

Of the issues traded till then, 52 gained, 38 declined and 23 remained unchanged on the CSE with a turnover value of over Tk 57 million.
