Stocks end lower Tuesday

DHAKA: Country's stock markets marked fall again in its price indices on Tuesday (March 1), the third trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 27.92 points only to stand at 4484.03 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 105137 with volume of transactions at Tk 4406.36 million.

Of the issues traded, 108 advanced, 170 declined and 47 remained unchanged.

LANKABAFIN topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 336.86 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GP, ORIONPHARM, SINGERBD, UPGDCL, SQURPHARMA, QSMDRYCELL, BXPHARMA, CMCKAMAL and ZAHEENSPIN.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8412.27 by dropping over 46.13 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 74 gained, 135 declined and 34 remained unchanged.
