Stocks end higher after 4-day fall

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked gain in its price indices on Thursday, the last trading day of the week after four straight days’ fall.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 10.66 points only to stand at 4472.83 at the close of day’s trading.

 Trade deals stood at 81240 with volume of transactions at Tk 3369.68 million.

Of the issues traded, 126 advanced, 143 declined and 47 remained unchanged.

LANKABAFIN topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 238.44 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were ORIONPHARM, UPGDCL, SUMITPOWER, QSMDRYCELL, BXPHARMA, CMCKAMAL, LAFSURCEML, SINGERBD and IFADAUTOS.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8369.38 by gaining over 0.33 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 80 gained, 99 declined and 41 remained unchanged.
