DHAKA: Trading in the bourses of the country on Sunday (March 13), the first session of the trading week, ended in mixed as investors saw rise of share price indices on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and down on Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE).
DESX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 4.34 points or 0.09 percent from the previous day and stayed at 4480.18 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 95,890 with transaction at Tk 3,678.22 million. Of the issues traded, 119 advanced, 151 declined and 46 remained unchanged.
Aman Feed was the leader of trading with shares worth Tk 257.41 million changing hands.
Other toppers of the market were LankaBangla Finance Limited, Orion Pharmaceuticals Ltd, CMC Kamal Textile Mills Ltd, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL), Information Technology Consultants Limited (ITC), BSRM Group, KDS Accessories Limited (KDSALTD) and Emerald Oil.
Stocks in Chittagong, however, gained amid choppy trading. CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse (CSE) increased 16.49 points and stood at 8400.01.
Out of 235 traded issues, 98 advanced, 106 declined and 31 remained unchanged. The total amount of transaction was Tk 72.71 million.
