Stocks end lower Monday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall in its price indices on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 12.56 points only to stand at 4467.61 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 90874 with volume of transactions at Tk 3367.51 million.

Of the issues traded, 122 advanced, 134 declined and 53 remained unchanged.

AMANFEED topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 200.46 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were KEYACOSMET, BSCCL, ORIONPHARM, SPPCL, BXPHARMA, BEXIMCO, SQURPHARMA, SUMITPOWER and CMCKAMAL.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8380.63 by dropping over 16.27 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 81 gained, 105 declined and 38 remained unchanged.
