Fazle Kabir takes charge as BB Governor

DHAKA: Fazle Kabir has taken formal charge as Governor of Bangladesh Bank on Sunday.

He vowed to bring back 81 million US dollars, heisted from reserve account at New York Federal Bank.

Earlier in the day, he stepped down as chairman of state-own Sonali Bank.

On March 15, he was appointed as BB Governor after Dr Atiur Rahman resigned following controversy over heist issue.
