DHAKA: For third day at a stretch, the two bourses of the country saw fall of share price indices on Wednesday (March 23), the final trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 10.66 points or 0.24 percent to stand at 4370.49 points at the end of day’s trading.
This was the lowest index of the premier bourse of the country since May 18 last year.
Trade deals stood at 96,013 with transaction at over Tk 3297.19 million. Of the issues traded, 136 advanced, 129 declined and 51 remained unchanged.
BSRM Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 212.72 million having changed hands.
Other toppers of the market were Keya Cosmetics Ltd, Emerald Oil, AFC Agro Biotech Limited, Square Pharmaceuticals Limited, Dragon Sweater And Spinning Limited (DSSL), Delta BRAC Housing Finance Corp. Ltd, National Feed Mill Limited, IFAD Autos Limited and Orion Infusion Ltd.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the trend, losing over 2.12 points to stand at 8182.10 on Thursday.
Of the issues traded here, 82 gained, 113 declined and 44 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 209.89 million.
