Bourses show mixed trend at opening

DHAKA: The two bourses of the country witnessing mixed trend of trading as share price indices on DSE saw fall while CSE saw up in the opening hours on Monday (March 28), the second trading session of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 5.29 points or 0.12 percent to stand at 4350.64 points at 11:00am.

Trade deals stood at 12,413 with transaction at over Tk 403.62 million. Of the issues traded, 81 advanced, 86 declined and 51 remained unchanged.

Dragon Sweater And Spinning Limited (DSSL) topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 101.10 million having changed hands.

Other toppers of the market were Keya Cosmetics Ltd, Emerald Oil, IT Consultants Limited, BSRM Limited, The Ibn Sina, AFC Agro Biotech Limited, Olympic Industries, Aman Feed Limited, and United Power Generation & Distribution Company Ltd.

Meanwhile, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw rise of share price indices in the early hours, gaining over 4.03 points to stand at 8142.79 at 10:57am.

Of the issues traded here, 38 gained, 33 declined and 09 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 23.83 million.
