Bourses continues falling

DHAKA: The two bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- of the country witnessed another fall of share price indices on Monday (March 28), the second trading session of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 53.36 points or 1.22 percent to stand at 4302.57 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 91,828 with transaction at over Tk 2979.18 million. Of the issues traded, 70 advanced, 210 declined and 41 remained unchanged.

Emerald Oil Industries Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 221.07 million having changed hands.

Other toppers of the market were Dragon Sweater And Spinning Limited (DSSL), Keya Cosmetics Ltd, AFC Agro Biotech Limited, BSRM Limited, Aman Feed Limited, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. IFAD Autos, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Olympic Industries.

Meanwhile, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the trend, losing over 80.98 points to stand at 8057.77 points.

Of the issues traded here, 41 gained, 159 declined and 34 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 196.05 million.
