DHAKA: The two bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- of the country are witnessing gain of share price indices in the opening hour on Monday (April 4), the second trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 21.73 points or 0.49 percent to stand at 4400.96 points at 10:48am.
Trade deals stood at 8,636 with transaction at over Tk 449.98 million. Of the issues traded, 97 advanced, 36 declined and 33 remained unchanged.
Titas gas transmission & Dist. Co. Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 121.79 million having changed hands till the time.
Other toppers of the market were The Ibn Sina Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals, Aman Feed Limited, IFAD Autos Limited, Lankabangla Finance Ltd., Dragon Sweater and Spinning Limited (DSSL), Golden Harvest Agro Industries Ltd., IT Consultants Limited, Bengal Windsor Thermoplastics Ltd. And KDS Accessories Limited.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the trend, acquiring over 44.569 points to stand at 8227.81 points.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 44 gained, 18 declined and 10 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 29.66 million.
