DHAKA: The two bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- of the country witnessed sharp gain of share price indices on Monday (April 4), the second trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 52.42 points or 1.19 percent to stand at 4431.65 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 114,490 with transaction at over Tk 4909.94 million. Of the issues traded, 195 advanced, 87 declined and 39 remained unchanged.
Titas gas transmission & Dist. Co. Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 266.70 million having changed hands till the time.
Other toppers of the market were The Ibn Sina Pharmaceuticals, Lankabangla Finance Ltd., Aman Feed Limited, IFAD Autos Limited, Baraka Power Limited, KDS Accessories Limited, BSRM Limited, Keya Cosmetics Ltd., and Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the trend, acquiring over 112.98 points to stand at 8296.10 points.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 153 gained, 70 declined and 25 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 422.19 million.
