DHAKA: The two bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- of the country witnessed negative trends in share price indices on Tuesday (April 5), the third trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 21.93 points or 0.49 percent to stand at 4409.72 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 84,413 with transaction at over Tk 3178.45 million. Of the issues traded, 78 advanced, 190 declined and 50 remained unchanged.
Delta BRAC Housing Finance Corporation Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 161.33 million having changed hands till the time.
Other toppers of the market were BSRM Limited, Summit Alliance Port Limited, Lankabangla Finance Ltd., The Ibn Sina Pharmaceuticals, Titas Gas Transmission & Dist. Co. Ltd., GSP Finance Company (Bangladesh) Limited, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Keya Cosmetics and Aman Feed Limited.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the trend, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 38.06 points to stand at 8253.64 points.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 59 gained, 139 declined and 43 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 212.36 million.
