DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed deflation of share price indices for the second consecutive day on Monday (April 11), the second trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 29.34 points or 0.66 percent to stand at 4401.78 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 104,156 with transaction at over Tk 4185.32 million. Of the issues traded, 79 advanced, 206 declined and 36 remained unchanged.
Lankabangla Finance Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 205.31 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Keya Cosmetics, Doreen Power Generations And Systems Limited, Aman Feed Limited, BSRM Limited, Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd., The Ibn Sina Pharmaceuticals, Export Import (Exim) Bank of Bangladesh, ACI Limited and Titas Gas Transmission & Dist. Co. Ltd.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 58.19 points to stand at 8231.92 points.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 51 gained, 164 declined and 30 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 248.91 million.
