DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed loss in share price indices on Sunday (April 17), the first trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 15.29 points or 0.34 percent to stand at 4393.34 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 92,365 with transaction at over Tk 3163.23 million. Of the issues traded, 96 advanced, 167 declined and 54 remained unchanged.
Jamuna Oil Company Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 196.23 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Aman Feed Limited, The Ibn Sina, Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd., Jamuna Bank Ltd., BSRM Limited, MJL Bangladesh Limited, LankaBangla Finance Limited, and Keya Cosmetics.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 21.98 points to stand at 8224.61 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 75 gained, 130 declined and 36 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 188.54 million.
