DHAKA: Both the bourses of the country – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) –witnessed loss in share price indices on Tuesday (April 19), the third trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 33.78 points or 0.76 percent to stand at 4357.63 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 100,744 with transaction at over Tk 3399.59 million. Of the issues traded, 72 advanced, 216 declined and 33 remained unchanged.
ACI Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 222.89 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were MJL Bangladesh Limited, Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, The IBN Sina, LankaBangla Finance ltd., Keya Cosmetics Limited, Beximco Pharmaceuticals, United Power Generation & Distribution Company Ltd., Aman Feed Limited and ACI Formulations Limited.
Following the trend, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also lost points in trading, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 63.24 points to stand at 8151.27 points.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 55 gained, 160 declined and 27 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 212.89 million.
