DHAKA: The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) is witnessing gain in share prices indices while the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessing loss on Thursday (April 21), the fifth and final trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 0.32 points or 0.007 percent to stand at 4359.71 points at 12:20pm.
Trade deals stood at 53,266 with transaction at over Tk 1844.63 million. Of the issues traded, 108 advanced, 145 declined and 45 remained unchanged.
MJL Bangladesh Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 126.73 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Bangladesh National Insurance Company Limited, Jamuna Oil Company Limited, Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, United Power Generation & Distribution Company Ltd., Beximco Pharmaceuticals, ACI Limited, Grameenphone Ltd., LankaBangla Finance ltd. and Bangladesh Export Import Company Ltd.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), however, lost points in trading, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 2.21 points to stand at 8147.22.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 60 gained, 100 declined and 32 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 113.79 million.
