DHAKA: Both the bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- are witnessing gain in share prices indices in the early hours on Monday (April 25), the second trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 9.40 points or 0.21 percent to stand at 4347.64 points at 12:04pm.
Trade deals stood at 31,212 with transaction at over Tk 1243.04 million. Of the issues traded, 120 advanced, 117 declined and 48 remained unchanged.
Jamuna Oil Company Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 135.16 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were MJL Bangladesh Limited, Meghna Petroleum Limited, Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd., ACI Limited, BSRM Limited, Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, United Power Generation & Distribution Company Ltd., Padma Oil Co. and IT Consultants Limited.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the trend as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 23.11 points to stand at 8125.81 at 12:03pm.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 81 gained, 65 declined and 25 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 62.70 million till then.
