DHAKA: After witnessing rise on Tuesday the two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- again witnessed loss of share prices indices on Wednesday (May 4).
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 13.97 points or 0.32 percent to stand at 4258.20 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 94,673 with transaction at over Tk 4,007.65 million. Of the issues traded, 94 advanced, 198 declined and 26 remained unchanged.
BSRM Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 380.17 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Linde Bangladesh Limited, BSRM Steels Limited, MJL Bangladesh Limited, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited, United Power Generation & Distribution Company Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Limited, Far East Knitting & Dyeing Industries Limited, LankaBangla Finance Ltd. and Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the trend as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 12.46 points to stand at 7969.35 points.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 69 gained, 139 declined and 27 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 251.78 million on the day.
