DHAKA: Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) witnessed loss of share prices indices while the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed gain on Tuesday (May 24), the third trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of DSE, shed over 0.25 points or 0.005 percent to stand at 4394.06 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 104,263 with transaction at over Tk 3,291.55 million. Of the issues traded, 148 advanced, 125 declined while 40 remained unchanged.
United Power Generation & Distribution Company Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 191.75 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd., Unique Hotel & Resorts Limited, Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd., Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, Khan Brothers PP Woven Bag Industries Limited, Jamuna Oil Company Limited, IFAD Autos Limited, Olympic Accessories Limited and Linde Bangladesh Limited.
Meanwhile, the CSE saw up as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 10.70 points to stand at 8235.48 on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 116 advanced, 85 declined while 39 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 259.80 million.
