DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in share prices indices on Sunday (May 29), the first trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of DSE, gained over 22.41 points or 0.51 percent to stand at 4410.42 points at 11:31am.
Trade deals stood at 25,202 with transaction at over Tk 914.84 million. Of the issues traded, 142 advanced, 79 declined while 55 remained unchanged.
LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 128.39 million having changed hands till then.
Other toppers of the market were Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd., United Airways (BD) Ltd., IFAD Autos Limited, National Feed Mill Limited, Bengal Windsor Thermoplastics Ltd., Khan Brothers PP Woven Bag Industries Limited, Olympic Accessories Limited, Far Chemical Industries Limited and United Power Generation & Distribution Company Ltd.
The CSE also followed the trend as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 36.26 points to stand at 8261.91 till 11:28am.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 80 advanced, 46 declined while 26 remained unchanged.
The total value of exchange was over Tk58.73 million.
