DHAKA: Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), the two bourses of the country, witnessed loss of share prices indices on Monday (May 30), the second trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of DSE, shed over 3.77 points or 0.08 percent to stand at 4423.00 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 113,302 with transaction at over Tk 4637.03 million. Of the issues traded, 107 advanced, 157 declined and 53 remained unchanged.
Titas Gas Transmission & Dist. Co. Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 337.59 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd, SAIF Powertec Limited, MJL Bangladesh Limited, Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd, Linde Bangladesh Limited, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, Summit Alliance Port Limited, United Airways (BD) Ltd and Islami Bank.
Meanwhile, the CSE also followed the trend as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 11.85 points to stand at 8279.56 on Monday.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 81 gained, 125 declined and 28 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 289.47 million on the day.
