DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in share price indices on Tuesday (June 7), the third trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), acquired over 5.42 points or 0.12 percent to stand at 4416.36 points at 12:07pm.
Trade deals stood at 60,873 with transaction at over Tk 2361.65 million. Of the issues traded, 70 advanced, 158 declined and 48 remained unchanged.
The ACME Laboratories Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 1058.44 million having changed hands till then.
Other toppers of the market were Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd Limited, Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd, MJL Bangladesh Limited, Beximco Pharma, The Ibn Sina, Islami Bank, Far Chemical Industries Limited, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited and Khan Brothers PP Woven Bag Industries Limited.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 2.85 points to stand at 8263.68 points till 12:07pm.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 44 gained, 86 declined and 30 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 186.74 million.
