DHAKA: The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday (June 7), the third trading session of the week after experiencing fall for two days at a stretch while the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) is still in the vicious circle.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), acquired over 1.57 points or 0.03 percent to stand at 4412.51 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 134,936 with transaction at over Tk 4714.79 million. Of the issues traded, 65 advanced, 211 declined and 39 remained unchanged.
The ACME Laboratories Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 1,407.78 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd Limited, Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd, MJL Bangladesh Limited, Beximco Pharma, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, Olympic Industries, Grameenphone Ltd., Khan Brothers PP Woven Bag Industries Limited and Islami Bank.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), however, witnessed loss as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, shed over 12.23 points to stand at 8248.60 points.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 47 gained, 146 declined and 28 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 392.64 million.
