DHAKA: The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) witnessed loss in share price indices on Thursday (June 9), the final trading session of the week while the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) experienced a meager gain.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 1.44 points or 0.03 percent to stand at 4418.98 points to finish the week.
Trade deals stood at 93,561 with transaction at over Tk 3404.88 million. Of the issues traded, 116 advanced, 141 declined and 62 remained unchanged on the day.
The ACME Laboratories Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 450.05 million having changed hands.
Other toppers of the market were Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, Orion Infusion Ltd., Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., Linde Bangladesh Limited, Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd., Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Aman Feed Limited and Olympic Accessories Limited.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), however, saw gain as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 1.45 points to stand at 8274.34 points.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 95 gained, 98 declined and 38 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 239.03 million.
