DHAKA: After witnessing loss in share price indices for two consecutive days, the two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- saw inflation on Tuesday (June 14).
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), acquired over 3.68 points or 0.08 percent to stand at 4409.08 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 100,089 with transaction at over Tk 3878.28 million. Of the issues traded, 109 advanced, 141 declined and 69 remained unchanged.
The ACME Laboratories Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 212.03 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Aman Feed Limited, Quasem Drycells, Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd., Olympic Accessories Limited, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd., GPH Ispat Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Khan Brothers PP Woven Bag Industries Limited.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 2.21 points to stand at 8249.07 points.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 90 gained, 106 declined and 37 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 258.70 million.
