DHAKA: Investors witnessed rise in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange- on Wednesday.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 2.90 points and 0.06 percent to stand at 4411.99 at the opening.
Trade deals stood at 93,597 with transaction at Tk 3576.71 million.
Of the issues traded, 135 advanced, 115 declined and 72remained unchanged.
The ACME Laboratories Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 117.82 million having changed hands.
Other toppers of the market were Aman Feed Limited, Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd, Emerald Oil Industries Ltd, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, Quasem Drycells, Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd, Islami Bank, Accessories Limited and Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, CSCX, the prime index, climbing up to 8250.67 by dropping over 1.59 points.
Out of the issues traded, 96 gained, 80 declined and 49 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 217.46 million.
