DHAKA: Investors witnessed fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – on Tuesday (June 21), the third trading session of the week.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 5.89 points and 0.13 percent to stand at 4363.11 at the end of day’s exchange.
Trade deals stood at 80,811 with transaction at Tk 3284.29 million.
Of the issues traded, 123 advanced, 138 declined and 57 remained unchanged.
National Feed Mill Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 159.45 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were The ACME Laboratories Limited, Olympic Accessories Limited, Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., Bd.Thai Aluminium, The Ibn Sina, Dragon Sweater and Spinning Limited, Aman Feed Limited, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Hamid Fabrics Limited.
Chittagong stocks also followed the trend, as CSCX, the prime index, climbed down to 8166.67 by dropping over 11.09 points.
Out of the issues traded, 104 gained, 100 declined and 40 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 199.67 million.
