DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed loss on Sunday (June 26), the first trading session of week.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, lost over 1.23 points and 0.02 percent to stand at 4380.22 at the end of day’s exchange.
Trade deals stood at 75,084 with transaction at Tk 2657.53 million.
Of the issues traded, 81 advanced, 193 declined and 46 remained unchanged.
The Olympic Accessories Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 141.23 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were The ACME Laboratories Limited, Aman Feed Limited, National Feed Mill Limited, Renata Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd, The Ibn Sina, Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., Islami Bank and Orion Infusion Ltd.
Chittagong stocks also followed the trend, as CSCX, the prime index, came down to 8169.81 by gaining over 29.85 points on the day.
Out of the issues traded, 53 gained, 160 declined and 31 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 792.48 million.
