DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gains in the opening hours on Monday (June 27), the second trading session of week.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, gained over 6.58 points and 0.15 percent to stand at 4386.80 at 12:25pm.
Trade deals stood at 34,791 with transaction at Tk 1865.51 million till then.
Of the issues traded, 144 advanced, 93 declined and 75 remained unchanged.
The ACME Laboratories Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 90.73 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Aman Feed Limited, Islami Bank, Dragon Sweater and Spinning Limited and Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd.
Chittagong stocks also followed the trend, as CSCX, the prime index, increased to 8188.68 by gaining over 18.86 points till 12:22pm.
Out of the issues traded, 100 gained, 67 declined and 49 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 412.50 million.
