DHAKA: Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) president Abdul Matlub Ahmad has demanded to keep banks open on July 2, 3 and 4.
He also expressed concern saying that businesspeople may suffer for this vacation ahead of Eid.
The top business leader made this assertion at a press conference held at FBCCI building in city on Monday (June 27) on the occasion of Bangladesh’s participation at World Law Business Forum.
He further said that a letter has been sent to Bangladesh Bank on behalf of FBCCI to keep banks open on July 2, 3 and 4 only to depositing money only.
‘If the businesspeople can not deposit their money, it may create robbery, anarchy and even threat to their life,’ he added.
