DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gains on Tuesday (June 28), the third trading session of week.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 38.53 points and 0.87 percent to stand at 4451.36 at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 79,109 with transaction at Tk 3886.79 million on the day.
Of the issues traded, 200 advanced, 72 6 declined and 48 remained unchanged.
The ACME Laboratories Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 180.49 million having changed hands.
Other toppers of the market were Keya Cosmetics Limited, Islami Bank, Grameenphone, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Aman Feed Limited, City Bank, National Feed Mill Limited, Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd. and Olympic Accessories Limited.
Chittagong stocks also followed the trend, as CSCX, the prime index, increased to 8306.62 by gaining over 82.93 points.
Out of the issues traded, 153 gained, 50 declined and 41 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 192.82 million.
