DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain at the opening hours on Monday (July 11), the second trading day after nine-day vacation of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, gained over 8.44 points and 0.18 percent to stand at 4503.63 at 12:51pm.
Trade deals stood at 34,663 with transaction at Tk 1433.80 million.
Of the issues traded, 174 advanced, 76 declined and 56 remained unchanged.
National Feed Mill Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 83.14 million having changed hands till then.
Chittagong stocks also followed the trend, as CSCX, the prime index, gained 2.32 points to stand at 8389.98 at 12:50pm.
Out of the issues traded, 107 gained, 67 declined and 33 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 78.27 million.
