DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Sunday (July 17), the first trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gain over 4.20 points or 0.09 percent to stand at 4558.94 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 104,641 with transaction at over Tk 3741.41 million. Of the issues traded, 111 advanced, 162 declined and 52 remained unchanged.
The ACME Laboratories Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 245.83 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Evince Textiles Limited, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, Islami Bank, Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd, Delta Brac Housing Finance Corp. Ltd, LankaBangla Finance ltd., Orion Infusion Ltd. and Linde Bangladesh Limited.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 17.60 points to stand at 8519.89 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 93 gained, 121 declined and 28 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 295.82 million.
