DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Monday (July 18), the second trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gain over 12.86 points or 0.28 percent to stand at 4571.81 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 104,641 with transaction at over Tk 4963.42 million. Of the issues traded, 115 advanced, 172 declined and 37 remained unchanged.
The Islami Bank topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 393.04 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Delta Brac Housing Finance Corp. Ltd., Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, The ACME Laboratories Limited, Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd, Beximco Pharma, City Bank, National Bank Ltd., MJL Bangladesh Limited and Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 25.00 points to stand at 8544.89 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 81 gained, 138 declined and 34 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 319.98 million.
