DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- have witnessed loss in share price indices for the second day on the trot on Wednesday (July 20), the fourth trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 2.37 points or 0.05 percent to stand at 4554.54 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 84,106 with transaction at over Tk 3450.38 million. Of the issues traded, 112 advanced, 145 declined and 68 remained unchanged.
Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 205.83 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were The ACME Laboratories Limited, Islami Bank, MJL Bangladesh Limited, Grameenphone, Beximco Pharma, Delta Brac Housing Finance Corp. Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd., and Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 7.90 points to stand at 8516.32 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 75 gained, 128 declined and 43 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 704.19 million.
