DHAKA: Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) witnessed loss of share prices indices while the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed gain on Thursday (July 21), the last trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of DSE, shed over 0.76 points or 0.01 percent to stand at 4553.78 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 99,685 with transaction at over Tk 4077.70 million. Of the issues traded, 119 advanced, 140 declined while 65 remained unchanged.
Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 221.94 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Beximco Pharma, MJL Bangladesh Limited, The ACME Laboratories Limited, Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd., Olympic Industries, Industrial Prom. & Dev. Co. of BD Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., BRAC Bank Ltd. and Delta Brac Housing Finance Corp. Ltd.
Meanwhile, the CSE saw up as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 11.79 points to stand at 8528.12 on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 99 advanced, 116 declined while 39 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 269.39 million.
