DHAKA: The week started seeing loss in the two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- in share price indices on Sunday (July 24).
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 1.85 points or 0.04 percent to stand at 4551.07 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 93,180 with transaction at over Tk 3388.41 million. Of the issues traded, 127 advanced, 140 declined and 56 remained unchanged.
The Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 236.20 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd, The ACME Laboratories Limited, ACI Formulations Limited, Delta Brac Housing Finance Corp. Ltd., MJL Bangladesh Limited, Meghna Petroleum Limited, Islami Bank, Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd and Linde Bangladesh Limited.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 10.22 points to stand at 8517.90 points on the day.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 89 gained, 113 declined and 43 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 279.27 million.
