DHAKA: The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) witnessed loss of share price indices while Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw gain on Monday (July 25), the second trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), lost over 1.89 points or 0.04 percent to stand at 4549.18 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 98,284 with transaction at over Tk 3953.16 million. Of the issues traded, 114 advanced, 151 declined and 62 remained unchanged.
Delta Brac Housing Finance Corp. Ltd topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 185.78 million having changed hands till the time.
Other toppers of the market were ACME Laboratories Limited, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, United Power Generation & Distribution Company Ltd., Grameenphone Ltd., BSRM Steels Limited, Beximco Pharma, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Bd.Thai Aluminium and City Bank.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), however, witnessed inflation, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 0.14 points to stand at 8518.04 points.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 83 gained, 110 declined and 58 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 198.04 million.
