DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday (July 26).

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gain over 0.97 points or 0.02 percent to stand at 4571.81 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 107,185 with transaction at over Tk 4481.5 million. Of the issues traded, 115 advanced, 146 declined and 64 remained unchanged.

The Beximco Pharma topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 264.61 million having changed hands on the day.

Other toppers of the market were Grameenphone Ltd., Linde Bangladesh Limited, Delta Brac Housing Finance Corp. Ltd., The ACME Laboratories Limited, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, Titas Gas Transmission & Dist. Co. Ltd., Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Bangladesh Shipping Corporation and BRAC Bank Ltd.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 6.54 points to stand at 8524.59 points on the day.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 95 gained, 119 declined and 34 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 292.33 million.
