DHAKA: Investors witnessed fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange - on Wednesday (July 27).
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 11.95 points and 0.26 percent to stand at 4538.20 at the end of the day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 99,568 with transaction at Tk 4052.20 million.
Of the issues traded, 101 advanced, 160 declined and 65 remained unchanged.
The Grameenphone Ltd. Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 390.29 million having changed hands.
The other toppers are Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Islami Bank, Singer Bangladesh, The ACME Laboratories Limited, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, BRAC Bank Ltd., Olympic Industries, Delta Brac Housing Finance Corp. Ltd. and CVO Petrochemical Refinery Limited.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, s CSCX, the prime index, climbing down to 8506.67 by dropping over 17.91 points.
Out of the issues traded, 84 gained, 127 declined and 40 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 210.18 million.
