DHAKA: After incurring loss on Sunday, the two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed a slight gain in share price indices on Monday (August 8), the second trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 0.70 points or 0.01 percent to stand at 4569.12 points at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 120,922 with transaction at over Tk 4632.87 million. Of the issues traded, 142 advanced, 118 declined and 64 remained unchanged on the day.
BSRM Steels Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 153.14 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were Titas Gas Transmission & Dist. Co. Ltd., CVO Petrochemical Refinery Limited, Delta Brac Housing Finance Corp. Ltd., Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited, The ACME Laboratories Limited, National Polymer, MJL Bangladesh Limited and Bd.Thai Aluminium.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 10.45 points to stand at 8562.72 points on Monday.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 112 gained, 86 declined and 47 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 255.32 million.
